'Bumblebee' deleted scene: Newfound comedy star John Cena talks to himself (exclusive)

John Cena hasn’t just rapidly transitioned from wrestling star to movie star, he’s also become a full blown comedy treasure. Just see his uproarious turns in Trainwreck, Sisters and Blockers.

So it’s no wonder Bumblebee director Travis Knight let Cena loose to improvise on the set of the acclaimed Transformers spinoff.

Of course, not all of Cena’s shenanigans actually made the cut, as evidenced by the above outtake from the digital special features, which you can watch exclusively on Yahoo Entertainment.

In the clip, Cena’s Sector 7 agent Jack Burns feigns a telephone call with the President of the United States (though we’re not sure which president) in an effort to prove a point that the government is mishandling the sudden arrival of threatening alien ‘bots.

It makes sense why the scene was cut. In the film, Burns is generally far more stern and serious than he’s portrayed here.

But props to our favorite new funnyman for trying.

Bumblebee is now available on digital, and hits 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD April 2. Watch it on Amazon or pre-order now.
