‘Bull,’ ‘Kevin Can Wait,’ ‘MacGyver’ Score Full Season Orders at CBS
“Bull,” “Kevin Can Wait,” and “MacGyver” have all landed full season orders at CBS, the network announced on Monday.
All three shows have done well in the ratings–particularly in delayed viewing–and have improved the ratings for their time period, compared to a year ago.
“We’re thrilled viewers have embraced these three shows creatively,” Glenn Geller, president of CBS Entertainment, said. “Each one has made an immediate and positive impact on our schedule, while significantly contributing to growing their respective nights.”

“Bull” stars Michael Weatherly as trial consultant Dr. Jason Bull, in a role loosely based on Dr. Phil McGraw. It is averaging 17.3 million viewers and a 2.6 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic in delayed viewing. Compared to the same time slot last year (Tuesday 9 p.m.), the show is up by 18 percent in viewers, 24 percent in the key demo.
“Kevin Can Wait” stars Kevin James as a cop trying to enjoy his retirement. It is averaging 11.3 million viewers and a 2.8 rating in delayed viewing. Compared to the year ago time period (Monday 8:30 p.m.), it is up 10 percent in viewers, and 17 percent in the key demo.
“MacGyver” stars Lucas Till as a rebooted version of the famously inventive secret agent. It is averaging 11.4 million viewers and a 1.9 rating in delayed viewing. That is an increase of 55 in viewers and 12 percent in the demo compared to the Fridays 8 p.m. time period last year.
