Donald Trump fundraiser held at Beverly Hills home of Bucs, Man U owner Ed Glazer
Donald Trump is making his first trip to California as president, sending Los Angeles into its standard POTUS traffic panic with an added dose of Trump protests.
Part of the reason he’s there is to slam Governor Jerry Brown and promote his dream of a border wall that the state does not want. But he’s also there to raise money, headlining a GOP fundraiser with a goal of $5 million to support Republican congressional candidates and his anticipated reelection campaign.
That’s not news. What is news is that Ed Glazer, owner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Manchester United, is hosting the Tuesday night event at his Beverly Hills home. TMZ first reported the news, and the L.A. Times confirmed it Tuesday afternoon.

The Times reports that Glazer donated $98,000 to the Trump election campaign along with $250,000 for his inauguration. He also donated $5,400 to Hillary Clinton’s campaign, apparently for good measure on the same day he gave $33,400 to the Republican National Committee.
Despite his support of Trump, Glazer publicly backed Bucs players last season who chose to protest during the national anthem in the face of Trump’s demands of owners to “get that son of a bitch off the field right now,” referring to players who knelt during the anthem.
