'Waterways' exhibit makes a splash at the Bucks County Children's Museum

The Bucks County Children's Museum in New Hope has opened a new Waterways exhibit that can show children how dams work and children can take their toy vehicles over a miniature bridge just like the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge.

Museum Executive Director Kelly Krumenacker said she "highly recommends" that visitors get tickets online at the museum website since the museum can sell out, and walk-up admissions are not guaranteed, especially on special event days.

"Teddy Bear Clinic," when the medical staff from Doylestown Hospital will be on hand to give stuffed animal friends their checkups, returns 10 a.m. to noon on Nov. 7, Election Day.

Tickets to the museum are $8, ages 1 and up; $4 for military personnel. Museum members are free.

"We also encourage you to reserve tickets for your entire party in one order, as time slots may sell out quickly," the museum advises.

The museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, with the last entry at 3 p.m., and may close early at 3:30 p.m. on some Saturdays for special events. The museum is located at 500 Union Square; phone 215-693-1290, or email info@buckskids.org.
