BTS, aka Bangtan Sonyeondan, is the most popular South Korean boy band that has fans all over the world. From Oscars to Grammys, the seven boys have left a mark at several award shows.

The members of the group are Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. In 2013, the Bangtan boys made their debut under Big Hit Entertainment with their album, 2 Cool 4 Skool. Although it took a few years, BTS succeeded in leading the Korean Wave to the global music market.

The band’s single “Mic Drop” received a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Soon, BTS entered the Billboard charts.

The boy band has released multiple singles and albums, in group and individually. Take a look at BTS songs here:

“Fake Love”

“Fake Love” is a BTS single from the 2018 album, Love Yourself: Answer. The track is about love and how it turns from being one’s destiny to being fake. The Bangtan Boys leader RM, aka Kim Nam-soon, wrote the song, alongside “Hitman” Bang and Pdogg. It received a positive response and many accolades.

The single entered the US Billboard Hot 100 and became the band’s first top ten songs in the United States. It is recorded in Korean and Japanese.

“Mic Drop”

The 2017 single “Mic Drop” was part of the album, Love Yourself: Her. RM once revealed that former US President Barack Obama’s mic drop at the 2016 White House Correspondents’ Dinner was the inspiration for writing the song. Although it didn’t rank in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, BTS promoted the remix version on various American show platforms, such as The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Saturday Night Live.

“Dynamite”

“Dynamite” is the first global hit track that became the group’s first No.1 single on the US Billboard Hot 100. The 2020 K-pop song is part of their album, BE. The band recorded the entire song in English.

Along with the track, the music video also became an instant hit. The MV entered the 2020 Guinness World Records as the most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours. The song was nominated for Grammy Awards 2021.

“Butter”

In 2021, BTS bagged another hit track, “Butter,” from the album Butter (Hotter, Sweeter, Cooler). The MV also broke records as it crossed over 112 million views within 24 hours on YouTube. It topped the Billboard Global 200 chart in the United States, Japan, South Korea, Hungary, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, and Vietnam.

A remix version of the BTS single with American rapper Megan Thee Stallion was also released. The song won People’s Choice Awards and Billboard Music Awards, along with a nomination for Grammys.

“Yet to Come”

“Yet to Come” is BTS’ latest single from the album, Proof. The 2022 track was a hit and its MV was nominated for the 2023 Grammy Awards.
