BTS at the Grammys was the best part of the Grammys
If you don’t know BTS, you should know BTS. Also known as the Bangtan Boys, the globally successful K-pop septet made their Grammys debut appearance on Sunday.
J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Suga, and V were nominated for only one Grammy Award — for Best Recording Package for their Love Yourself: Tear album, losing out to St. Vincent’s Masseduction — but the 61st annual honors were a milestone in other ways. It was the group’s first visit to the awards, Love Yourself (a Billboard 200 phenomenon) was the first Korean album to be recognized in any category by the Recording Academy, and they’re the first-ever Korean group to present an award during the ceremony. If you saw the #TearItUpBTS hashtag floating around, you can attribute it to their worldwide fandom.
And even with those groundbreaking moments, BTS were already stealing the show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, having a good time and moving to the music at the show.

And then here’s BTS singing along to H.E.R.’s live performance of “Hard Place”:
They were in a mood:
We could honestly watch a broadcast of only @BTS_twt reacting so purely to every moment at the #GRAMMYs???? #TearItUpBTS pic.twitter.com/HBmHnOr4Hq

They took the stage to present the award for Best R&B Album all coordinated-like, with gorgeous matching hair and lippy:

In the seven-piece crew’s own words, their presence at the Grammys was as much a treat for them as it was for us. “It’s more than a dream,” RM told PEOPLE on the red carpet ahead of the show. “We can’t believe it.”
