BTS announces Map of the Soul world tour dates, with several North American shows

Good news, North American Army members: BTS might be coming to your city this year.

Big Hit Entertainment, the South Korean company that manages the group, took to Twitter to unveil the dates of the upcoming BTS Map of the Soul Tour, which includes several stops in North America.

In May, BTS is scheduled to play shows in Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, East Rutherford, New Jersey, Toronto and Washington. They will also have performances in Santa Clara, California, in April and in Chicago in June.

Other stops on the world tour include London, Berlin and Barcelona, Spain, as well as Japanese cities Fukuoka, Osaka, Saitama and Tokyo.

The tour kicks off in Seoul on April 11.

Information on specific performance dates and venues can be found in the Twitter announcement.

The tour news comes days after the South Korean group released "Black Swan,” a new single from their upcoming album "Map of the Soul: 7," due Feb. 21.

The single was dropped on Friday along with a five minute art film performed by the Slovenian MN Dance Company.

The video opens with a quote from Martha Graham: "A dancer dies twice — once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the most painful." The dancers then perform an interpretive dance to the song in what appears to be an abandoned shopping mall.

BTS, mostly known for upbeat songs, took a different path with "Black Swan," which takes a more serious look at the fear of losing their passion for music. The song culminates in the group realizing the music is part of them and can't be lost.
