Bryce Harper Cheats During ‘Catchphrase’ on ‘The Tonight Show’

Cheaters never prosper, unless they are an MVP. During a game of Catchphrase on The Tonight Show, Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper took some creative liberties with the contest. He routinely played through the game with teammate Jimmy Fallon even though Fallon did not phrase his answers correctly, and sometimes didn’t even get the answer at all. The first suspicious moment came on the phrase “mic drop.” After some stumbling through the clues, Harper accepted Fallon’s “drop the mic” as a correct answer.

Now “drop the mic” and “mic drop” aren’t exactly the same thing, but they’re similar enough that we’ll give him a pass. But there’s a vast divide between “s’mores” and “marshmallows,” which Harper also deemed correct.

Fellow guests Gigi Hadid and Andy Samberg played by the rules, but fell victim to Harper’s cheating once again at the closing bell. Harper accepted Fallon’s “beaver” when the correct answer was in fact “eager beaver.”
