After his match with Will Ospreay at AEW Dynasty, AEW star Bryan Danielson has provided fans with an update. Will Ospreay, who emerged victorious, executed the Storm Driver ’93 and followed up with his signature move, the Hidden Blade, to secure the win over Bryan Danielson. However, after the match, Danielson was motionless in the ring, prompting concern from Ospreay.

In an interview with Wrestling Classic, Bryan Danielson updated the fans regarding his neck. He mentioned experiencing issues with it after a specific incident during a match. Although his MRI results showed no major concerns, he still feels discomfort in it on a daily basis.

He stated, “Yeah… My neck hurts… So yeah, I’m having some issues with my neck. There was a thing where I gave him a Frankensteiner, and he landed on his feet. And there like in the background, nobody noticed it I don’t think at the time… I’m not on social media much. But yeah… So when I did it, I landed right on my head. And I was like, ‘Oh my gosh!’ Like, I didn’t know, and I’ve needed some time after that to… You know… It’s… The MRIs, I’m okay. But like, how do I feel on a day-to-day basis? My neck is like… You know.”

Bryan Danielson’s neck landing at AEW Dynasty worries the fans

Bryan Danielson and Will Ospreay delivered an outstanding match at AEW Dynasty, earning praise from both fans and critics alike. Many fans have hailed it as one of the best matches in recent history. Ospreay secured the victory with his signature move, the Storm Driver ’93, although the awkward landing on Bryan’s neck during the move caused concern among fans.

In a post-show media scrum, Will Ospreay mentioned that he would retire the move following his match against Bryan Danielson. However, it appears to be part of the storyline, as Bryan returned to AEW last week and is now set to compete in the Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing.
