Bruno Mars Is 24K Magic on ‘Carpool Karaoke’

On Tuesday’s The Late Late Show, Bruno Mars joined James Corden for another edition of “Carpool Karaoke.” The pop singer and songwriter sang many of his hits including “24K Magic,” “Grenade,” “Uptown Funk,” and “Locked Out of Heaven.”

He revealed that he got the bug to sing while watching his father sing Elvis Presley songs. Mars then gave his best version of “Jailhouse Rock” with Corden joining in. Corden joked, “You’re young Elvis and I’m sort of fat Elvis when he’s in Vegas.”

Corden asked what special requests Mars makes for his dressing room. Mars said wine and wet wipes, then joked, “That’s the next album.” Then Corden launched into a version of “Uptown Funk” with the words replaced with wine and wet wipes.

The two seemed to share a special alchemy that turned into 24k magic.

The Late Late Show airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.
