Bruce Willis wears his 'Armageddon' spacesuit from 22 years ago: My 'saving the (world) outfit'

Bruce Willis has already saved the planet once, from an asteroid. Could he do it again?

The 65-year-old actor pulled out his iconic orange spacesuit from the 1998 disaster film "Armageddon," which he calls his "saving the (world) outfit" amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to his daughter.

Rumer Willis shared an Instagram picture of her dad donning his costume, complete with a face covering, which the CDC recommends wearing in public settings to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Willis' eldest daughter said his spacesuit is the "actual one from Armageddon," and after 22 years, the orange costume impressively fits like a glove.

"Armageddon" – directed by Michael Bay and starring Willis, Ben Affleck, Billy Bob Thornton, Liv Tyler and Owen Wilson – went on to become 1998's highest-grossing film, bringing in over $553 million worldwide at the box office.

Rumer called her father a "legend."

Willis has been quarantining since March in Iowa with ex-wife Demi Moore and the couple's three children: Rumer, 31, Scout, 28, and Tallulah, 26.

Willis and Moore married in 1987 and divorced in 2000. Willis also shares daughters Evelyn Penn, 5, and Mabel Ray, 8, with his current wife, Emma Heming Willis, who is quarantining separately in Los Angeles.

Willis' arrangement to quarantine with Moore instead of his wife raised some eyebrows, but Scout explained that Emma got held back for a medical emergency when she and Willis were meant to leave together for Iowa.

"My stepmom was going to come up here with my little sisters," Scout revealed on the "Dopey" podcast in April. "But my younger sister… at a park, had never gotten a talk about not (expletive) with hypodermic needles that she found, so she actually tried to poke her shoe with it and poked her foot."

She continued, "So my stepmom had to be in L.A. waiting to get the results from taking her to the doctor so my dad came up here early and then travel got crazy so my stepmom stayed in LA with my little sisters."

Scout admitted that it's been "really funny" to have both her parents "in the house where they raised us."
