Bruce Springsteen is one proud dad!

The Boss joined wife Patti Scialfa in the front row of City Hall to watch their son Sam officially become a firefighter for the state of New Jersey (of course) on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old was one of 15 new firefighters sworn in by Jersey City Mayor Steven M. Fulop and director James Shea.

"We're very proud," the singer, 70, told reporters at the ceremony. "We're just excited for him today."

The "Born to Run" singer was seen sitting amongst other proud parents during the ceremony and was later photographed proudly hugging his son after.

“It was a long road,” Springsteen said to WCBS. “He was very dedicated for quite a few years and we are just excited for him today.”

Sam, who graduated from Monmouth County Fire Academy in 2014 and had been a volunteer firefighter in Northern New Jersey, where he grew up, told reporters that the journey "wasn't easy."

The family was also joined by Springsteen and Scialfa's oldest son, Evan, although their daughter Jessica was not present.
