It's been a week since Bruce Springsteen broke fans' hearts, after announcing he had to reschedule two shows at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, due to an illness.

Those performances with the E Street Band were originally for Aug. 16 and Aug. 18.

But there's light at the end of the rescheduling tunnel since ticket holders should learn soon about the new dates, according to a statement from Phillies spokesperson Deb Rinaldi.

The Boss’ band members previously have missed shows due to COVID-19 on the tour, with Columbus, Ohio, and Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut shows postponed due to illness.

Philly area fans will have some options once new Citizen Bank Park dates are announced — whether to use their tickets for newly scheduled dates or to seek a refund.

"Once the new dates are announced, and ticketholders choose to go the refund route, we will have information then available on Phillies.com/Springsteen, giving ticketholders a 30-day window to request a refund (once dates are announced/site is live)," the statement said.

In addition, the Phillies said fans who purchased tickets through a secondary outlet would need to go back to where they purchased their tickets to get a refund, dependent upon each ticketing company's policy.

Tickets bought from secondary sites will be accepted for the rescheduled date.

Per the statement, "All tickets from the postponed concerts will be good for the new (soon-to-be-announced) dates."

The band has not released details about the nature of Springsteen's illness at presstime.

The Boss and his band are scheduled to perform Thursday, Aug. 24, and Saturday, Aug. 26, in Foxborough, Massachusetts; and Springsteen and the E Street Band return home Wednesday, Aug. 30, for three dates at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
