Bruce Springsteen is “Addicted to Romance.”

That's the name of the new Boss song, written for the upcoming rom-com “She Came to Me” co-starring Peter Dinklage, Marisa Tomei and Anne Hathaway. The movie is due Friday, Oct. 6 and the song came out in the early hours of Friday, Sept. 29.

The new Springsteen track has an gently alluring sawdust melody. Springsteen's wife, Patti Scialfa, sings harmony on the piano ballad, an ode to second chance romances. Check it out on YouTube or listen to a snippet below in this story.

Rebecca Miller, daughter of Arthur Miller, is the director of “She Came to Me,” and Bryce Dessner of indie rockers The National composed the score.

In the movie, Dinklage plays a composer “who is creatively blocked and unable to finish the score for his highly anticipated comeback opera,” according to a press release. His wife, played by Hathaway, tells him to find inspiration and “what he discovers is much more than he bargained for or ever imagined.”

Springsteen and the E Street Band announced on Sept. 27 that they have postponed shows for the rest of the year as the Boss continues to recover “steadily” from peptic ulcer disease. Rescheduled dates for each of the 2023 shows, including those postponed earlier this month, will be announced next week.
