Browns QB Jameis Winston joined Theo Von on This Past Weekend podcast

Cleveland Browns quarterback Jameis Winston went on comedian Theo Von’s podcast. The two traded funny tales about life and football on “This Past Weekend”. Theo Von is a comedian who started his career on MTV.

The newly signed quarterback seemed eager to be part of the organization. Winston showed a wide smile whenever he spoke of the team. Winston shared a funny anecdote of seeing snow when he signed with the Browns in early March. Winston called his wife to share his excitement about playing in the snow. However, his wife was not thrilled with the late spring snow flurry and missed the weather of the Gulf Coast.

Winston and Von didn’t spend much time talking about the ins and outs of the sport, focusing more on life. Winston spoke about staying inspired and motivated as a backup quarterback after losing a franchise job. Von mentioned that Winston’s example of determination mirrored Baker Mayfield’s career arc. Winston agreed and was extremely complementary of the former Browns quarterback.

Winston shared what he learned from Drew Brees and how eager he is to work with Deshaun Watson. Winston ended the interview by offering his thoughts on recent social media trends.
