Brooklyn Nine-Nine celebrates 99th episode

Brooklyn Nine-Nine celebrated its most logical milestone on Wednesday, having a table-read of the script of its 99th episode. Star Melissa Fumero tweeted out a photo of the cake-cutting to honor the occasion.

“Today we read our 99th episode. Grateful. Just so so grateful. I love these people so much,” she wrote. “#ilovemyjob #Brooklyn99.”

Created by Parks and Recreation co-creator Michael Schur and Parks executive producer Dan Goor, the Fox cop comedy launched in 2013. The ensemble also includes Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Joe Lo Truglio, Terry Crews, Chelsea Peretti, Stephanie Beatriz, Dirk Blocker, and Joel McKinnon Miller.

In lieu of celebrating the show’s 100th episode, Goor told EW this summer that “we’re only making a big deal out of the 99th,” and quipped, “Whatever it is, it will end with all of them saying ‘Nine-Nine!’ at the end of it.”
