Brooklyn Nets Player Mikal Bridges Says He’s Eaten Chipotle Every Day for the Last 10 Years: ‘It’s Too Fire’

The NBA athlete also shareed his go-to Chipotle bowl

If you want to make Mikal Bridges happy, try getting him some Chipotle!

Earlier this week, the Brooklyn Nets basketball player, 27, sat down with GQ Sports and professed his love for the Mexican grill fast food chain, which specializes in bowls, tacos and Mission burritos made to order in front of its customers.

“Hey @Chipotle get this man a gift card,” the outlet captioned a TikTok video of the athlete as he opened a bag containing a food order from the restaurant. An extended version of the interview was also shared on YouTube.

“I’ve eaten this every day, and it’s been about… How many years since I’ve been eating Chipotle?” Bridges asked himself before realizing that it had been quite a while.

“Since 2013, 14? So, about 10 years?” he said.

Bridges — who was holding his food from the outlet — then jokingly admitted that his consistent choice in cuisine has caused him to have “friends and family that teases me a little bit about it.”

“It’s too fire to not have it every single time,” he continued before revealing his go-to food order from the franchise.

Tucking into his dish, the basketball player then said, “So, my bowl order — I get white rice, no beans, double chicken, medium and mild salsa, corn and lettuce.”

But Bridges wasn’t done there, he even shared an ingredient that no longer makes the cut, and why.

“Oh, and I used to get the hot salsa,” he added.

However, the athlete revealed that whenever he previously consumed the product, it would leave him “just chuggin’ water” after only one bite.

“And [the water] still ain’t helpin’,” he said, calling the experience of eating his favorite bowl “painful.”

In the comment section of GQ Sports’ TikTok, a user quipped, “So it wasn't me just getting older. The hot salsa is actually hotter.”

As for Bridges, he’s just as consistent on the court as he is in his food choices. As well as eating Chipotle daily for about a decade, the athlete has also never missed an NBA game in his career, according to Fox Sports.

While no studies have revealed a link between Chipotle and great sportsmanship yet, old tweets have revealed that Travis Kelce is also a fan of the popular Mexican grill.

As a result, the tight end went viral for his adoration (and misspelling) of Chipotle!

"Went from class to therapy, now I need some #chipolte and then I'm off to check out my new apt," Kelce, 34, wrote on April 27, 2011.

In honor of his now-infamous spelling slip-ups, Chipotle renamed one of its Kansas City restaurant locations to “Chipolte.”
