Brooke Shields, 54, shows off toned abs, credits daughters with boosting her confidence
Brooke Shields' summer appears to be going swimmingly.
The 54-year-old model and actress showed off her toned abs on Instagram Tuesday while lounging on the back of a boat in a pink bikini. And let's just say, Shields looks as fit as ever.
"Boat bum," she captioned the photo.
Shields shared several pictures from the outing, including a slow-motion video of herself jumping off the side of the boat into the water.
"Such a beautiful, happy day," she wrote, adding sarcastically, "having no fun at all."
The "Suddenly Susan" star credited her daughters – Rowan, 16, and Grier, 13 – with building her bikini body confidence. Shields shares the girls with her producer husband, Chris Henchy.

"My daughters are always like, 'Mom, you work so hard. Why don’t you ever post?'" she told Yahoo Entertainment in April. "I’m like, 'It’s weird.' If I’m in an ad, I can do that. I feel like it’s a job, then I can do it, but to just post pictures of myself. … My two daughters are like, 'Mom, it’s good for you to be seen like this. You look good in your bathing suit,' and they’ve given me such confidence to sort of be a little bit more of an exhibitionist."
And Shields' fans are loving her newfound confidence and summer snaps.
"Out there living your best life.... Looking awesome. Hope I can look half as good as you when I am in my fifties," @jynxy_or_jill commented, while @peterjpetrosino added: "You are without a doubt just gorgeous."
