Brooke Burke is feeling some pressure as she preps for her wedding to fiancé Scott Rigsby.

The fitness guru, 52, tells PEOPLE that while there’s “always a lot going on,” she and Rigsby, 50, are making a conscious effort to plan for their nuptials, which she confirms will take place next year.

“We are committed to 2024,” she says. “Kind of like, we got to hurry up and do it. Time is moving so fast and there’s always going to be things standing in our way, so we will make time in 2024.”

Burke is eyeing a spring or summer wedding, she shares, and wants to keep the ceremony and celebration intentional and grounded in meaning.

The couple want something “very Mother Nature-inspired, something that’s really about spirituality, family, friends, faith,” she says.

“We really wanna design a wedding that we can enjoy — that's not just a big party for show. For me, it has to be meaningful or not at all, which is the challenge. To do something fabulous and grand and keep that intimacy and keep it special.”

As she and Rigsby — who popped the question in 2021 after the pair went public with their romance two years prior, PEOPLE exclusively revealed at the time — navigate wedding planning, they’re also juggling work, parenting and are in the middle of building a new home in Carefree, Arizona, where many of Burke’s body transformation retreats take place.

“I'm excited about that – to be able to work and live part-time in that space,” she says of the small suburb outside Phoenix and Scottsdale.

The former Dancing with the Stars host is also keenly aware of the implications of saying “I do,” as she and Rigsby share six kids between them.

Burke is mother to daughters Neriah, 23, and Sierra, 21, with ex-husband Garth Fisher, and shares daughter Rain, 16, and son Shaya, 15, with ex-husband David Charvet.

Rigsby is father to daughter Lila, 15, and son Levi, 12, who Burke says she has a “great relationship” with.

As for how her own kids feel, Burke shares, “Everybody loves Scott. Thank God.”

“The kids are all on board, which is a blessing because I know how challenging that can be and [I] feel very lucky to be able to say that,” she adds. “They're excited about our wedding, they're excited about life, they're excited about our new home — they just love him.”

Of her and the commercial real estate developer's "blended family," she describes it as "beautiful."

"I'm super proud of that. It's not easy and it's really working so well," Burke says.

She adds, "You just keep learning. I mean, I know so much more today after welcoming Levi and Lila into my family."
