Brooke Burke’s Number One Healthy Holiday Tip: Don’t Wait for a New Year’s Resolution!

Stopping by PEOPLE Now on Monday, the fitness maven encouraged fans to keep up their exercise routine throughout the holidays.

“Americans tend to put on so much weight during the holidays,” acknowledged Burke, 47. “Actually, today, I kicked off my holiday fitness guide [on Brooke Burke Body] … which you can get in on any time. It’s five days a week, five moves for each body part. Tips, tricks and how to survive the madness of the holiday season.”

The star has previously opened up about taking “me” time for her physical and mental health and says the holidays are also an important time for self-care.

“I think a lot of these women may have never carved out time for themselves,” she said earlier this year. “As women and mothers, we put everybody before us — work, family, kids. We’re last on the totem pole, if you will. This will be really valuable.”

With four kids — Shaya, Heaven, Neriah, and Sierra — Burke has her hands very full but makes sure not to forget about taking care of herself.

“I’m all about me time and deepening our self-care even when life gets a little bit more stressful,” she says. “So this is the time to take care of ourselves. Everyone is waiting for New Year’s resolution. ‘Tis the season to be strong!”
