Brittany Snow is switching things up!

While many choose to go darker for the fall and winter months, the Pitch Perfect alum, 37, has found her perfect look by doing the complete opposite.

“We interrupt our regular wholesome content to bring you this basic selfie,” Snow wrote on a mirror picture of herself donning a new hairdo.

The actress thanked “@rickhenryla & @katesomervilleskincare for my glow up.”

Snow added, “Blonde for fall? Doesn't make much sense but let's do it.”

For the new hairstyle announcement, the John Tucker Must Die talent posed in a black athletic two-piece showing off her toned midsection with a black hair tie around her wrist.

Just before that upload, Snow showed off another proud moment — an award from the Cordillera International Film Festival in Nevada for best director for a feature film for her project Parachute.

She gave a disclaimer while holding the award: “Please don't judge my windows. They are dirty and I am a very short human.”

The film premiered at SXSW in March and marked Snow’s directorial debut. She also co-wrote the romantic drama with Becca Gleason.

Parachute is set in New York City and follows a young woman with an eating disorder and addiction issues and her codependent partner. Yellowjackets' Courtney Eaton takes the leading lady role starring opposite Me and Earl and the Dying Girl’s Thomas Mann.

Other stars appearing in the film include Gina Rodriguez, Joel McHale, and Scott Mescudi (also known as Kid Cudi).

“Ok reviews are weird, subjective and sometimes unhealthy… but I am very grateful people felt this polarizing topic & love story,” Snow said in a lengthy Instagram carousel showing multiple reviews for Parachute in August.

“I directed this little piece of my heart. (I did not act in it at all) I am lucky enough to represent it at some fantastic film festivals coming up soon,” she added.

The Prom Night star noted that none of the actors who appeared in the film would “be in attendance because we stand strongly with our @sagaftra family.”

She continued, “This movie was made for no money, a lot of favors, no big companies, all heart and no time. I’m so excited for everyone to see it. 🪂🪂🪂.”

In June, PEOPLE spoke to Snow at the premiere of her new movie The Good Half during the Tribeca Film Festival. In the interview, she spoke about how she was navigating her new normal after her divorce from Tyler Stanaland.

“I think everybody goes through really tough periods and then it's all in our perspective and how we deal with it, right?” the Hairspray star said. “Because nobody's immune to tough periods in their life. And, all I'm trying to do is focus on myself and tune out the noise.”

Snow and the now-star of Selling the OC married in March 2020. She then filed for divorce in January, just four months after the former couple announced their separation in September 2022.

While talking to PEOPLE at the Tribeca Film Festival, she revealed how it felt good to work alongside her co-star Nick Jonas, who plays her brother in the film, because it felt like a real family.

“I am a Nick Jonas fan, specifically. Especially after doing this movie,” Snow said. “I love him as a brother because we got to play brother and sister, but I got to know him as a human and as a person and as a brother. I think that he is so talented and also just a really, really good person that deserves all of the success. And you know, that's a hard thing to come by, when you're that successful and you deserve all of it, and so I wish him nothing but the best.”
