Brittany Murphy's half-brother Tony Bertolotti strongly believes that Brittany Murphy was murdered and the coroner lied trying to cover it all up and was wrong. Now her family weighs in on what really happened...only in Hollywood.
Bertolotti believes there was a lot more going on when his actress half-sister collapsed at the Beverly Hills home she shared with her husband, Simon Monjack. Her husband dying roughly five months later under similar circumstances has only reinforced Bertolotti’s theory that there was more at play inside the household, where her mother, Sharon, was also present.
RIP: Brittany Murphy
Murphy starred in 'Clueless' with Alicia Silverstone and other films. She died in 2009 and so did her husband, Simon Monjack, died five months apart before her death. It was reported in the media that according to an autopsy, she died of natural causes and went into cardiac arrest. Los Angeles coroner Ed Winter ruled at the time that Murphy’s death was caused by pneumonia, an iron deficiency and multiple-drug intoxication.
“If you look at it from a distance, it's like here's this young lady, a fairly healthy girl, she's home with her supposed husband and mother, and she died. How absurd is it? It's only in Hollywood that it's considered another day at the zoo. No one takes her to a hospital, which is just four miles away,” he told The Daily Mail on the tenth anniversary of her death. “I spent years looking at this, suppressing my own anger. I think Brittany was taken out. Who killed Brittany? She didn't die of natural causes.”
Was Brittany Murphy Murdered by a 'Star Whacker?'
At this point, it is unclear if Brittany Murphy was murdered by the Holllywood Elite or 'Star Whacker.' Unfortunately, we are constantly bombarded in the tabloids and mainstream media with tragic stories of celebrities being murdered or committing suicide. Tinseltown isn't always what it seems. We can't rely on what is reported in the media since it's not the real truth. Eventually, the truth always comes out.
Bertolotti said Murphy’s father, Angelo, went to his grave believing that Monjack’s alleged negative influence in the star’s life somehow led to her untimely death. Although there’s very little concrete evidence of a murder.
Bertolotti points to his late brother-in-law’s alleged bad business dealings and debts as further evidence that Murphy was killed.
“I don't know what business decisions they were making at that time, but it [the deaths] sound business-related to me. I've heard all sorts of crap, so what is true? I don't believe the drugs line that much, I don't buy it. I'm sure there was experimentation. But Brittany was conservative with that stuff, she was a bright girl,” he said.
This is one of those Hollywood mysteries that may never be revealed.
