Brittany Mahomes can't help but celebrate Patrick Mahomes' "special" 2022-23 season!
The 28-year-old shared a new Instagram post that included several photos from the 2024 Super Bowl, which ended with the Kansas City Chiefs defeating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime Sunday.
“This season was a special one!” Brittany began in the caption. “This guy never stopped believing in his team…through the ups and downs and all the doubters, never once did he doubt this team.”
“He is a true leader and a team player. He continued to ask himself what he could do better to lead this team to the Super Bowl,” she added. “I saw so much behind the scenes that I will forever be in awe of you as a person and a football player! You my guy deserved this!!! I love you and am always and forever proud of you ❤️."
The first three photos showed Brittany standing next to her quarterback husband, 28, while she held their son, Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III, 15 months, and he held their daughter, Sterling Skye, 2, in his arms. The family of four was smiling after the Chiefs landed the Vince Lombardi trophy for the third time in five years.
Additional photos in the Instagram carousel showed Brittany and Patrick sharing a kiss on the field as he rocked his Super Bowl Championship hat. Patrick rested his hand on Brittany’s back as he looked up at the stadium and threw his other arm up in celebration in another photo.
The mother of two shared snaps of her husband holding Bronze as the red and yellow confetti fell onto the Allegiant Stadium field.
Brittany also teased how Patrick anticipated a back-to-back win after winning the 2023 Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles.
“I decided we are going to win the Super Bowl,” read one of Patrick’s messages in the text exchange screenshot. “I’ll see yall in Vegas I’m not done,” he added.
