Brittany Cartwright Responds to ‘Flirtatious’ Carl Radke Rumors

Even though they’re separated, Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are still doing their podcast together, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany.

On the April 11 episode of the podcast, Britt mentioned that she went to New York in early April to see Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix perform on Broadway in the musical Chicago. The Valley star also brought up seeing Summer House star Carl Radke, who was also at the show.

“There’s a rumor that you guys had some kind of, like, a flirtatious thing going on,” her estranged husband remarked, though he was quick to add, “It didn’t come from me.”

Was Jax jealous?

The Kentucky native denied there was any truth to the rumor, saying, “We said maybe five words to each other.” Perhaps her Southern charm and naturally cheerful manner misled observers into thinking she was flirting with Carl when she was just being her friendly self. She did say he “was very nice” during their brief introduction.

When Britt asked Jax if he was “jealous” hearing she’d been flirting with another man, he insisted that he wasn’t.

“I know Carl pretty well,” he said. “I laughed it off when I heard.”

The couple, who married in June 2019 and have a three-year-old son, announced their separation in February 2024. One of the reasons Brittany gave for the split was the lack of sexual intimacy in their relationship.

“I think that we’ve been together for almost 9 years,” the Meemaw’s Beer Cheese creator said. “People stop appreciating and take you for granted after some time. [But] that should never happen in a marriage. So that’s what I’m trying to get back. And if that doesn’t come back, then we won’t get back together.”

Additionally, she’s also asked Jax to make some changes to his lifestyle before she would consider a reconciliation. The couple are still running their businesses together and co-parenting their son, despite living apart.
