Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor Were Trying for a Baby Before Separation

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright made waves with news of their separation. As it turns out, new details are still emerging on the situation.

When the former Vanderpump Rules stars made it known that they were separating, some folks were surprised. Others had seen it coming. But, as with any high-profile breakup, a lot of attention turned toward the children. Or, in this case, the child.

The Valley stars share Cruz Cauchi as a son and currently co-parent the three-year-old. However, as it turns out, the couple was planning on more than just Cruz. More details may emerge on The Valley, but all we know now came from VPR.

Brittany and Scheana talk plans for future children

On the April 23 episode of Vanderpump Rules, fans saw Brittany talk with Scheana Shay about their families. Brittany asked Scheana if she planned on having more kids. “I don’t think I ever want to be pregnant again because I don’t want to chance dying,” Scheana responded. “Are you going to start trying again soon?”

“Yeah, this month we’re officially trying,” Brittany responded. Keep in mind that this scene was filmed before news of the separation. Scheana responded, “See I feel like when Ocean and Cruz have a sibling, then she’s going to start asking,” referring to Lala Kent’s child. And while Lala has a baby on the way, Cruz might not get that sibling Scheana mentioned.

Despite all the drama between the two, Jax and Brittany do seem united in the cause of their son. The estranged couple recently came together for Cruz’s third birthday party. And even though they endured a little mishap with the cake, everything else went off without a hitch. With all their drama, it’s genuinely nice to see both parents trying to put Cruz first.
