Brittany Cartwright doesn’t necessarily believe the phrase “once a cheater, always a cheater," but she can't completely forget her husband Jax Taylor's past infidelity, either.

On The Valley on Tuesday, April 30, Brittany, 35, and Jax, 44, met with tantra intimacy coach Jennelle Gordon in hopes of reinvigorating their connection in the bedroom.

“Sometimes I wonder if Jax like, isn’t attracted to my body after having a baby because it has changed so much,” Brittany said in a confessional interview. “Like, I’ve got a lot of stretch marks, I’ve got loose skin. That can be real hard to deal with sometimes.”

Brittany and Jax welcomed their son Cruz in April 2021 and ever since then, the reality stars saw their sex lives take a toll. The intimacy coach sensed that infidelity didn’t play a factor in why Jax and Brittany’s physical relationship had faded lately, but Brittany admitted that they’d dealt with cheating in the past. (It came out during season 6 of Vanderpump Rules that Jax slept with former SUR employee Faith Stowers after he and Brittany had been together for more than two years.)

“I know with Jax there’s always going to be rumors out there,” Brittany said in a confessional. “I definitely don’t think that Jax is cheating but, of course, it’s always, always in the back of my mind. It’s like, if he’s not cheating, why do we have so many intimacy issues?”

Brittany and Jax broke up at the time of his affair, but they eventually got back together and he proposed shortly after they reconciled.

But now, “I can tell that Jax does not appreciate me anymore,” Brittany told the cameras on The Valley. “He doesn't like, lift me up, put me on a pedestal, make me feel good about myself. I just feel like we’ve been together so long that he doesn’t care to make that effort anymore. That stopped a while ago. And if that doesn’t change, I don’t know what’s going to happen with us.”

Later in the episode, Jax tried to focus on the romance even more by planning an overnight date, complete with a private sushi dinner, for Brittany at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles. But the conversation quickly devolved into talks of having a second baby, which the couple had differing opinions about.

“The bar comes second to another child,” Brittany said, referring to Jax's bar, Jax’s Studio City.

Jax worried that Cruz needed his and Brittany’s full attention as he navigates developmental issues and another kid would take away from that. “This was always the plan,” Brittany reiterated. “If you’re not ready to have a kid right now, you need to let me know.”

Jax claimed, “I’m not saying that.”

Brittany began to tear up, to which Jax responded, "You can't cry about something like this."

“He is just completely blindsiding me,” the Kentucky native said in a confessional.

Jax then threw out his work demands as an excuse, stating that his job requires him "to leave the house, [and] yours doesn't.”

Brittany asserted Jax doesn’t “even do anything” around the house. "I take care of everything,” she added.

At the end of February, Brittany and Jax announced they’d separated after four years of marriage and she’d been staying in an Airbnb.

“I'm taking care of my toddler, and I'm also taking care of another toddler named Jax Taylor, because I basically do everything for the household,” Brittany told PEOPLE in April. “I just want to feel appreciated and want to feel wanted by the person that I'm married to.”
