Britney Talks ‘Reinvention’ of Herself, Shows How She Passes the Time in Vegas
On Thursday’s Today show, Natalie Morales caught up with Britney Spears in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood, where the pop star puts on 90-minute shows three times a week.
“It’s like my second home,” Spears said of her residency in Las Vegas. “I’ve been here for six weeks, and I go home for six weeks. It’s amazing.”
Spears is fresh off her first studio release in three years, “Glory,” but insists she’s not making any sort of comeback.
“I think I’ve never really left. I’ve always been here,” Spears told Morales. “So (it’s) just like … maybe a reinvention of myself and just a different time in my life — a really good, glorious time.”
Morales hung out with Spears to see what she does in Vegas when she’s not onstage, and mostly it involves hanging with her sons Sean, 10, and Jayden, 9. When Morales asked the boys what they thought of their mom’s appearance on Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, they had the perfect answer.
“We didn’t see it,” they said.
