Fans are growing concerned for Britney Spears amid her divorce from actor Sam Asghari.

Although some fans are happy to see that the pop star is finally "free" after her conservatorship ended in November 2021, others have expressed concern that there is no one really looking out for the pop star's best interests.

Fans had greater cause for concern on Thursday night when a new report alleged that the "Criminal" singer was getting close to a real-life "criminal" who just happens to be a member of her staff!

Fans Leave Positive Words For Britney Spears After She Leaves Instagram Comments ON

On Thursday night, the “Mind Your Business” singer took to Instagram to share a photo of her wearing an all-black outfit covered up by a black overcoat. “Fuck with me … I dare you 🖕🏻 !!!” she wrote in the caption of the post.

It’s not clear who this post is intended for, but it came mere hours after a source told Page Six that Britney was getting close to a member of her staff who had a criminal past. An insider says that the 37-year-old man was hired a year ago to “clean toilets, mop floors and pick up trash.”

The insider said that they were “concerned” about Britney’s relationship with the man, who was identified by the outlet as Paul Richard Soliz. Although Paul was reportedly hired without a background check, a search done by the outlet revealed that he has been charged with a felony and multiple misdemeanors.

In April 2014, the housekeeper was reportedly convicted of one count of disturbing the peace. Due to a plea deal, he was also reportedly able to get a charge of child endangerment dropped. Two years later, he was convicted of driving without a license and managed to get another charge dropped due to a separate plea deal.

Just last year, when he was already working for the pop star, he was convicted of felony possession of a firearm in December 2022. Reports told the outlet that Paul was later fired; however, Britney has been photographed out and about with an unidentified man following her divorce. It is unclear if Paul is that person, but fans have been nonetheless concerned.

Fans Have Mixed Reactions About Britney's Instagram Posts Amid Divorce

Earlier on Thursday afternoon, Britney also posted a video of her wearing three separate outfits as she danced in her living room. Although she has disabled comments on all of her Instagram posts in the past few months, fans have been taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express concern for the "Toxic" singer ever since news of the divorce broke.

"I just peeped Britney Spears Instagram for the first time, in a long time, and I’m very concerned for her mental health. She needs someone that’s not wanting to take advantage of her to help her. I hope she finds that," one fan tweeted.

Another fan responded to a video of Britney dancing on her new stripper pole. That video was posted on Sunday night, only a few days before Sam Asghari filed for divorce.

"I feel incredibly sad and conflicted watching Britney's mental health issues being played out on social media. Is it some weird form of voyeurism social media has created? Hope she has people around her that can help," another fan wrote.

That being said, there are some fans who don't see anything wrong with Britney's form of expression and want to see her continuing to do, well, whatever she wants to do now that she is free of her 13-year conservatorship.

"I’m here for @britneyspears," another fan tweeted. "Do whatever you need to do to protect your mental health and do WHATEVER makes YOU happy. If dancing is YOUR OUTLET THEN DO IT! If performing for millions is your OUTLET then DO IT!"
