Britney Spears’ Legal Team Files to End Conservatorship

Britney Spears has formally asked to have father Jamie Spears immediately removed as her conservator in new court documents filed on Wednesday. The singer’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart, requests the court remove Jamie as conservator, and temporarily replace him until ‘the conservatorship is completely and inevitably terminated this fall.’ This development comes the same day Netflix debuted the trailer for ‘Britney vs. Spears,’ the latest documentary to examine the pop icon’s conservatorship battle. The movie will begin streaming on Sept. 28.
