Britney Spears Gets Her Kicks From Watching ‘Modern Family’
Sometimes life’s simple pleasures are the best kind — just ask Britney Spears. The pop princess, who is currently enjoying a lucrative residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, celebrated her return home Monday night by partaking in America’s (unofficial) favorite pastime … watching TV. The 34-year-old singer (who turns 35 on Dec. 2!) shared her plans to plop on the couch with fans via Instagram.
“Get home from Vegas after 6 weeks and realize I’m getting too old for this s***,” her story began.
In the first shot, the star — who went makeup-free and rocked her glasses for the post — playfully sticks out her tongue. (One of the many reasons we love Britney.) “Then something happens,” she continues as she breaks into a super-excited smile.
“I look at TV,” she adds with googly eyes and a TV icon.
“Holy s***! Modern Family’s on!!!” she concludes with girlish enthusiasm. (Also, can we just give a shout-out to those amazing chompers? They’re basically a dentist’s dream.)
But despite what she might have fans believe, this mother of two hardly sits around all day watching sitcoms (at least not every day). She recently released “Slumber Party,” the second single off her new album, Glory, and while it’s not necessarily the catchiest piece of pop she has ever unleashed, it does feature R&B star Tinache and has a certain charm that has been generating some buzz. It remains to be seen whether this second effort from her album will catch fire the way she and her team undoubtedly hope, but if worse comes to worst — she’ll always have Modern Family.
