Britney Spears is laying it all out there in her upcoming memoir, The Woman in Me. Not only is she calling Justin Timberlake to the table for his past behavior, but she is also reportedly owning up to her own actions by confirming a long-held rumor. It will add even more context to the complex relationship that the two pop stars had with each other.

For two decades there has been gossip surrounding Spears and choreographer Wade Robson, who was creating dances for all of the hot musical acts of that era — it was an MTV fever dream. There have always been whispers about Spears and Robson hooking up while she was dating Timberlake, and she has reportedly acknowledged that the story is indeed true. The tryst happened at a Spanish bar, according to an US Weekly source, and it only went as far as a make-out session on the dance floor.

Somehow, the *NSYNC member found out about the transgression, but the duo “agreed to move past” the incident because she “only had eyes” for Timberlake. Of course, fans all know that the boy bander didn’t get over it and leveraged the moment for his solo career — and that’s how we got the 2003 single and music video, “Cry Me a River.” In the video, a Spears doppelgänger appears to be unfaithful to Timberlake, and fans ate it up.
