Britney Spears Fans Rate Who Is The ‘WORST’ In ‘The Woman In Me’

Fans of pop star Britney Spears are still trying to decide who is the "worst" person in her memoir, "The Woman In Me."

The now 41-year-old pop star looked back on her life and opened up about her conservatorship, her relationship with her estranged family, and her past relationships. Fans have a lot of opinions about what Britney had to say in her tell-all book as fans tried to find out who is the obviously "worst" person in Britney's life.

It all began with a tweet that showed Britney posing with her estranged family: her father Jamie Spears, 71, her mother Lynne Spears, 68, her brother Bryan Spears, 46, and her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, 32. The photos also showed Britney posing with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, and her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

"After #TheWomanInMe out of all the people who did Britney Spears wrong, who do you think is the WORST & why?" a Britney fan page asked.

One fan responded with a GIF flashing a photo of Britney posing with her father, Jamie Spears, before it showed a  photo of her mother, Lynne Spears. "Death to all of them," Wendy Williams proclaims.

One fan pointed to her mother, writing, "Lynne Spears honestly did her dirty, dirty. she basically neglected all her kids but [especially] Britney, and that continued as she let all these men [really] abuse & exploit Britney in adulthood too. Jamie Spears should have been outcast as an alcoholic abuser when they were little."

Another user also put the blame on Britney's family, writing, "Her parents. The people who are supposed to love and protect you and they did the exact opposite. Thank god she made it through."

"Jamie and Lynne win first prize but the traumatic abortion (which she did for Justin) and then him selling her out REALLY messed her up and made everything spiral from there...and [Kevin Federline] is a horrible father who kept the kids from their mother...it's a tough competition," another user wrote, referring to how Britney went through an unplanned pregnancy with the "Cry Me A River" singer that was never disclosed until now.

Who Is At Fault? One Fan Made A List!

Another follower made a list, pointing out that her father was most at fault as her conservator. Britney was placed in a court-ordered conservatorship in February 2008, but that was not struck down by a judge until November 2021.

They also cast blame on her sister, Jamie Lynn, her exes Kevin Federline and Justin Timberlake, and her mom, for not helping her daughter end the conservatorship sooner.

Most fans seemed to cast blame on Lynne Spears. "I think Lynne Spears is the worst. She and Britney seemed so close when she was younger and her mom stood by and did nothing except make money off her misery. I expected out of Jamie what he did but not Lynne," another user wrote.

"Her family is where it all began, so I would have to say them. Your family should be the ones you can turn to in your times of struggle and heartbreak. Britney's family was part of the problem," another fan pointed out.

Another fan felt that Britney's first heartbreak was the cause of her downfall, admitting that her family's lack of support didn't help either. "Justin. He was the start of it all. The trauma she carried at a young age & just kept working. Never addressed it & he drug her in the media," they wrote. "Then the media turned on her. She literally started her mental breakdowns with him. Then Kevin happened. Family ate off of that."

Several others pointed the blame at Kevin Federline. "Technically it was her parents, but I still think Kevin is to blame. As Britney stated, she only went along with the conservatorship for her kids, and Kevin used them as his pawns… to get money," another netizen chimed in. "It saddens me that her kids still can’t see just how badly they were exploited."

Interestingly enough, no one mentioned actor Sam Asghari, who filed for divorce in August 2023, putting an end to their six-year relationship.
