Britney Spears’ Ex-Husband Kevin Federline Sued By Private School Over Alleged Nonpayment

DJ Kevin Federline and his wife Victoria Federline, formerly known as volleyball player Victoria Prince, are being sued by the West Valley Christian school, where they send two of their children.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the lawsuit, which was filed on May 9, 2023, claims that the couple owes almost $16,000 and has not made any tuition payments since on or about May 16, 2019.

According to legal documents filed in the Superior Court of California in the County of Los Angeles, the West Valley Christian School is suing both Kevin Federline and Victoria Federline for breach of contract and other complaints that amount to the tune of $15,593.00.

According to the documents, a written agreement for payment was created on August 1, 2018. The document, titled “Registration Contract and Policy and Payment Agreement” shows the names of two of their children and lists the application fee, tuition deposit, enrollment fee, and the supply and activity fee, as well as other charges.

The document states that the tuition rates are “published on a separate schedule” and notes in bold and underlined print that “All funds paid to the West Valley Christian School are not refundable or transferable.” The document was signed and dated by both Kevin and Victoria.

However, on or about May 16, 2019, the private school claims that the couple “breached the agreement by failing to pay for services which had been provided on credit at their special instance and request.” Since that time, the school states that “each of them has failed and refused and continue to fail and refuse to pay all or any part of the remaining balance due,” which they say amounts to $15,593.00.

Now, the school is suing not only for the principal sum of $15,593.00 but also for the interest rate of 10.0000 percent per annum from on and after May 16, 2019. They are also suing for attorney’s fees, the cost of bringing the lawsuit, and any “further relief as this Court may deem just and proper.”

A trial date has been set for November 5, 2024, at 8:30 AM.

Kevin Federline shares two sons with his ex-wife, “Toxic” singer Britney Spears. The former couple was married from 2004 to 2007 and shares two children together: Sean Preston Federline, 17, and Jayden James Federline, 16.

Over the past two weeks, Kevin Federline has been making headlines as he plans to move his family to Hawaii. Reportedly, Victoria has been offered a job in the sports department at a university in Hawaii, and he is hoping to make the move by August 1.

However, since the boys are both minors, they still need Britney's consent to make the move happen. According to TMZ, K-Fed's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan has reached out to Britney's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, to get Britney to sign the legal papers approving the move, but apparently, that hasn't happened yet.

As of Tuesday, May 30, Kevin made his intentions known that he was only giving Britney until Friday, June 2, for her to approve the move before he goes to the courts and gets a judge to approve the move. Kevin has custody of the boys for years and the boys have reportedly not even seen their mother in the same year, so it seems likely that a judge will approve of the move. Regardless, fans can't help but feel that the timing of the move is raising a few eyebrows.

Although child support is supposed to end at age 18, in the state of Hawaii, it can last until age 23 if the child is enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university, or in a vocational or trade school, according to the Porter, McGuire, and Kiakona legal group.

Britney has yet to publicly comment on the possibility that her two sons are moving to Hawaii. However, she has been getting closer to her mother, Lynne Spears, again. Last week, her mother made the trip from Louisiana to Los Angeles to meet Britney at her home.
