Britney Spears is getting in shape — and putting the haters in their place.

Responding to "nasty" paparazzi photos recently taken of her while in Los Angeles, the pop singer got candid about negative feedback given to her by a former fitness trainer in an Instagram post Monday.

"By no means am I saying my body is perfect but I took the time 2 months ago to find a trainer and the first thing she did to me was literally … and I’m not even lying … pinch the skin on my stomach and legs and told me I need to get my younger body back," Spears wrote. "It made me cry."

Alongside her fitness reflection, Spears also shared a video of herself dancing in a midriff-baring, yellow crop top and beige shorts, set to the Paula Cole song "Feelin' Love."

"I work out for 45 min, 3x a week … that’s it !!! I hate working out for too long," Spears continued. "I’m sharing this because I have worked hard to get in shape, yet I don’t look like the pictures that the paps take !!! God knows my body ain’t perfect but I did want to share what my body looks like at the moment."

She added: "I have 4 hours of footage from me shooting this yesterday and…I’m just getting started."

Spears isn’t the only one speaking up about body image in the entertainment industry. Colombian pop star Karol G, who graced the cover of GQ Mexico for its April/May issue, recently blasted the publication for allegedly editing the cover photo.

"My face does not look like that, my body does not look like that and I feel very happy and comfortable with how I look naturally," Karol wrote in an Instagram post last week.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis chimed in on Saturday, praising the 32-year-old for "bringing awareness to an issue I have been concerned about for a long time."

"We are human beings. We are not AI,” Curtis wrote on Instagram. "This genocide against what is naturally beautiful is alarming and needs to be talked about."
