Britney Spears Is 'Very Happy' to Be Back Home & Will Spend the 'Weekend with Her Boys:' Source

Britney Spears was happy to return home Thursday after seeking treatment.

“Britney is back at home and is very happy about it,” a Spears family insider tells PEOPLE, adding that the pop star will be “spending the weekend with her boys and Sam [Asghari].”

The source went on to share that while spending time with her sons — Sean Preston, 13, and Jayden James, 12 — as well as her boyfriend, 25, Spears will be accompanied by an assistant and a chef.

Spears, 37, checked out of the “all-encompassing wellness facility” where she was being treated on Thursday afternoon. A source previously told PEOPLE that Spears’ boyfriend of two years picked her up and drove her home.

In the coming weeks, a conservatorship status hearing is scheduled for May 10. (In 2008, a Los Angeles court named Jamie Spears, the singer’s father, permanent conservator of Spears’ affairs. He was also named permanent co-conservator of her estate, along with an attorney, Andrew Wallet. Wallet resigned his role in March, according to documents obtained by The Blast.)

Since she checked into the facility earlier this month, Spears has continued posting on social media and has also been seen stepping out for Easter and to get her hair done.

On Wednesday, Spears shared a workout video to Instagram, revealing that she had lost 5 lbs. amid her ongoing treatment, quipping, “Who knew stress would be a great weight loss? Yay for me.”

The singer was pictured grabbing frozen yogurt in Santa Monica on Tuesday, hours before breaking her silence on Instagram about the ongoing wellness treatment.

Assuring her fans that she was doing okay, that evening Spears posted a video on Instagram sharing that “all is well.”

“My family has been going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately, so I just needed time to deal,” she added. “Don’t worry I’ll be back very soon.”
