A British centenarian couple is celebrating 81 years of marriage.

According to the BBC, Dorothy Walter, 103, and Tim Walter, 102, tied the knot when they were 21 years old.

The pair first met in Southampton, a port city in Hampshire, England. Both 18 at the time, they were making planes in a factory during  World War II, per the outlet.

BBC reported that the couple eventually moved to Elmstone — in East Kent — where they spent 32 years as farmers. The two lovebirds later moved into a residential care house in 2022, when both Dorothy and Tim were 101.

The longtime couple — who have two daughters, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren together — attribute their successful marriage to the fact that they "never argue," per the BBC.

“We were happy together, always happy together," Tim told the outlet. “I used to get on a bike in the evening to see her”.

“It’s a long time ago, we just took to each other. He took me to the pictures, that was it," Dorothy added. "We agree, we discuss, we don’t row."

The news about the Walters comes over a year after another British couple celebrated a similar milestone: 81 years of marriage. On Jan. 4, 2022, Ron, 102, and Joyce Bond, 101, earned the title of Britain's longest-married couple, per SWNS.

"We never expected to reach 81 years of marriage, we know we are very fortunate to have achieved this amazing goal," said Joyce. Echoing the sentiment, Ron added, "Sometimes life is hard but we work through it together. We look after each other too."

Ron and Joyce — who tied the knot in 1941 — celebrated the anniversary at ExtraCare's Shenley Wood Retirement Village.

In honor of their 80th anniversary the previous year, the couple even got a special note from the late Queen Elizabeth, congratulating them on their impressive milestone. "How wonderful to learn of your eightieth wedding anniversary on 4th January, 2021. I do hope you enjoy this marvellous occasion," she wrote at the time, per SWNS.
