Britain's Got Talent newcomer Bruno Tonioli once again found himself in the spotlight during yesterday's (May 30) second live semi-final.

Bruno swore as he and his fellow judges were invited on stage to be a part of Andrew Stanton's breathtaking routine, which saw the daredevil gruesomely dragging a truck along the stage using a system that was attached to his eye sockets.

There was some sword-swallowing and nose-hooking involved too, as the crowd audibly gasped at a number of points in Andrew's act.

Bruno and his colleagues Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon and Bruno were eventually asked to assist Andrew on stage – but the former Strictly judge didn't seem too enthusiastic about having a front-row seat.

"Can I watch?" Bruno asked, and then appeared to be trying to convince Declan Donnelly to take his place – but Dec guided him towards the stage.

As he approached the truck, Bruno said: "F**king hell Simon, not again! Not again..."

Simon then replied: "Come on, darling!" and gestured for Bruno to take a seat alongside him in the vehicle.

Elsewhere on the night, singers Tia Connolly and Olivia Lynes, female dance troupe Yo Highness, dancers Nathan and Joanne, Welsh male choir Johns' Boys, illusionist Lewis Fuller and comedian Viggo Venn vied for a spot in this year's grand final.

Following a tense vote, it was Viggo and Olivia whose dreams moved a little bit closer to becoming a reality, joining singer Amy Lou Smith and dancer Musa Motha at the last hurdle.

The winning act not only earns a spot in the next Royal Variety Performance – the first to be presented in front of King Charles III – but also takes home a life-changing £250,000 prize.

Britain's Got Talent airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
