Bristol Palin Leans On Spirituality & 'Hope' During Parents' Split

Bristol Palin is looking towards a higher power as she learns about the divorce between her parents.

The 28-year-old Palin daughter posted Monday on Instagram just before news of the split between Sarah and Todd Palin broke.

Bristol did not say anything, but instead posted a link to a sermon by a pastor speaking on the subject matter of "hope."

The sermon came from Texas Pastor Rex Johnson, and his March 17 sermon, "Abounding in Hope," and deals with finding hope and salvation through the teachings of Jesus.

The timing of the message is definitely interesting, as Bristol's father just filed documents to end his marriage to her mother after more than 30 years together.

Todd filed the documents under the radar, using only the former couple's initials.

As for the reason for the breakup, Todd stated an, "incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife."

Todd, who filed the documents on his birthday, is requesting joint custody of 11-year-old Trig Palin ... all the other kids, including Bristol, are adults.

The commercial fisherman is also using the attorney who handled the divorce between Bristol and her ex-husband, Dakota Meyer.

Dakota also posted his own cryptic message on social media, which may be related to the divorce of his former in-laws.

"A man should understand he doesn’t protect his woman because she is weak. He Protects her because she is IMPORTANT," he wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of a warrior-type man.

Sarah Palin has yet to comment on the breakup.
