“Bringing Up Bates'” Nathan Bates and Wife Esther Expecting Baby No. 2: 'We're Doubling the Cuteness'

The couple, who married in October 2021, is already parents to daughter Kenna Joy

The Bringing Up Bates family is growing again!

On Thursday, Nathan Bates and his wife Esther announced that they're expecting their second baby together in a joint Instagram post.

"We’re doubling the cuteness! Baby #2 coming Fall, 2024!🤍," they wrote in the caption of a carousel of photos, taken by Nathan's brother Lawson and his wife Tiffany.

The carousel of photos featured Nathan, 30, and Esther, 25, posing with their daughter Kenna Joy and an ultrasound image on a beach. Kenna, 17 months, wore a gingham pink and white dress that matched her mom's pink one in the photos.

Her father held her in his arms in a photo as she looked down at the ultrasound image. Her parents stood on either side of her, kissing both her cheeks as they showed off the ultrasound image in another snapshot.

Another adorable image in the set featured Kenna swinging between her parents as they held her arms. "Baby Bates" was written in the sand in front of them.

Nathan is the fifth child of Gil and Kelly Bates. The Bates family was followed for eight seasons on the TLC show Bringing Up Bates from 2015 to 2021.

Esther and Nathan married in October 2021 after announcing their engagement that same year. They announced Esther's first pregnancy in May 2022 on Instagram and welcomed Kenna that October.

In October 2023, Esther celebrated her daughter's first birthday with a sweet tribute on Instagram.

"Happy 1st birthday, Kenna Joy!🎉 I could never tell you how much I love you and how much happiness you bring to your mama’s world!" she captioned a carousel of photos of Kenna enjoying her first birthday cake.

"You are so sweet and beautiful and have so much personality for a little girl! I am SO grateful for you and can’t wait to make lots more memories this next year with you! Keep being adorable ✨💕😘."
