Bring Me the Horizon have unveiled the new song “Kool-Aid,” the latest single from their forthcoming album POST HUMAN: NeX GEn.

While not as crushing as the band’s early deathcore years, the song hits hard compared to some of the UK act’s more recent pop-inspired output. Singer Oli Sykes goes full-scream mode at certain points in the track, as he sings over some heavy riffage.

POST HUMAN: NeX GEn was originally set to arrive in September 2023, but was indefinitely delayed. A new press release states that the album will “be released this year, with the official release date forthcoming.”

“Kool-Aid” is the first song Bring Me the Horizon have released since announcing the departure of keyboardist/programmer Jordan Fish in late December. It’s unclear if he played on the track, but a new band photo (see above) accompanying the song doesn’t include Fish.

Bring Me the Horizon kick off a UK tour later this month. That will be followed by an Australian jaunt in April, and an appearance at Las Vegas’ Sick New World festival on April 27th. After that, a run of European festivals will take place in June and July.
