This is how you win... a piece of A24 movie memorabilia. The movie studio behind such recent film favorites as Uncut Gems, Midsommar and The Lighthouse — as well as HBO’s breakout teen series, Euphoria — will auction off props, costumes and mementos from its extensive library via the just-launched A24 Auctions. From diamond-encrusted Furbys to mythical mermaid carvings to the finest in May Queen dresses, A24 truly has something for everyone.
As a New York-based company, A24’s upcoming slate of auctions will directly benefit a diverse slate of New York-based charities, including the FDNY Foundation, Food Bank for New York City, NYC Health + Hospitals and Queens Community House, which are assisting the hardest-hit communities during the coronavirus pandemic. The first round of bidding starts Wednesday, and features a collection of items from the A24 attic, starting with a hoodie that Zendaya is regularly seen wearing in Euphoria. Bidding for that piece of outerwear has already reached $3,000.
Other teen-adjacent items include the “Coolest Girl in the World” time capsule box that plays a big role in Bo Burnham’s acclaimed debut feature, Eighth Grade.
Meanwhile, past and future skateboarders can get their grind on with this totally rad board from the Jonah Hill-directed Mid90s.
New auctions will be held on Mondays over the next three weeks, each one based around other themes and movies. On April 27, for example, Midsommar observers can choose between Florence Pugh’s 10,000-silk flower May Queen dress.
Or a skull-crushing finishing mallet that finishes any job.
Personally, we’re waiting to bid on A Ghost Story bedsheets and Tusk walrus tusks.
