The reason for the 2026 estimated release date for Brightburn 2 is that the film is still currently in development by H3 Entertainment, and production has not started. Production will also not begin until the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes have ended. Once production begins, it would take place over a year, which makes the 2025 release date the most likely.

Thus, it is possible that there could be a crossover between Crimson Bolt and Brandon, where the two might clash after Crimson Bolt catches wind of Brandon’s murderous rampage.
