Days after the daughter of Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak shared the news of her engagement to minor league baseball player Billy Seidl — which she announced in an Instagram post on Monday — Brielle, 27, is opening up about how the proposal came to be.

In several videos posted to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, the Don’t Be Tardy star revealed that she and Seidl have been dating for more than a year after initially meeting in the Bahamas on separate vacations. She described him as “incredibly thoughtful” and gushed, “there’s nobody sweeter than him, I swear.”

“It is so hard to narrow down my favorite thing about my favorite person,” she said in response to a follower-submitted question that asked what her “favorite part” about her fiancé is. “He’s just so sweet and so thoughtful and literally the kindest person I’ve ever met.”

Prior to getting engaged, the former Duke baseball player did ask for Kroy’s permission, Brielle also revealed. “I have so many questions of people asking me that. Yes, he asked Kroy. He actually asked Kroy a while ago,” she said in a video on her Instagram Story.

She added that she was “so surprised” by the proposal, which “happened right before sunset.” The couple were going for dinner at Bourbon Steak in Scottsdale, a favorite of theirs, when Seidl suggested they go for a walk before eating.

“I really was surprised, I wasn’t thinking of it,” she said. “And we’re together 24/7, I was like there’s no way this guy’s gonna be able to get a ring without me knowing…”

But Seidl pulled it perfectly. “I had no idea.”

As for why she's has kept their relationship out of the public eye, Brielle hinted that the decision was related to her parent's ongoing divorce which was initially announced in May before they later called it off. Kroy then filed for a second time in August. “

All my relationships have been really public and given everything that's going on right now I just decided that I wanted to be a little more private with things that are really important to me,” Brielle said in the video.

Brielle added that she also wanted to protect Seidl. “Billy is such a sweet person that I didn’t want people sending him nasty DMs – like they have been now. It was just really important to me to enjoy Billy and I’s company, alone, get to know each other, without involving the world. And I’m so happy we did.”

Brielle also joked that it was “funny” to “hard launch” her relationship on social media with the announcement of her engagement.

During the final video she shared on her Instagram Story, Seidl, who was seated next to her during the video, revealed how he was able to pick out a ring and plan the proposal without the reality star knowing.

“Believe it or not, when you live with your fiancée it’s pretty hard to find time to get to a jewelry store and pick one out, so I did it via email,” he said. "Got it all done on email and text message so it ended up working out well.”

The minor league baseball player said that he knew the style Brielle wanted because the couple “had been looking at rings beforehand, for the past year."
