Brie Larson had no idea what was going on in that Captain Marvel post-credits scene

In the end-tag for Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers wanted to know where Nick Fury was, but Brie Larson just wanted to know what was going on.

During an appearance Wednesday on The Tonight Show, the Captain Marvel star discussed her box office smash hit and the upcoming Avengers: Endgame, which she shot before her solo superhero outing.

“I flew to Atlanta to start shooting, had no idea what I was doing,” she told Jimmy Fallon of filming Endgame. “And I arrived and they gave me a piece of paper that was a full page of dialogue and action but all of it was redacted except for my one line. … It wasn’t until I walked on set that I was like, ‘Oh crap, I’m like in a Marvel movie right now.'”

After wrapping Endgame, Larson went to work on Captain Marvel and that film would end with a post-credits scene of Marvel showing up to Avengers HQ looking for the snapped-away Fury. If you thought the remaining Avengers were confused, just imagine being Larson.

“I didn’t know that was a tag for Captain Marvel,” she shared. “I didn’t know what that was what we were shooting. There was also nobody else there. I was by myself on a green screen…they whip panned over to me and I was like, ‘But where is he actually? Like is he in the room? What room am I in?'”

Watch the video above to see Larson hilariously act out her confusion.

Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters on Friday.
