Brie Larson lived out her dream at the Golden Globes when she encountered Jennifer Lopez on the red carpet.

While being interviewed by Kevin Frazier for Entertainment Tonight, the Oscar winner spotted JLo and got emotional at the idea of being in close proximity to the “Waiting for Tonight” singer.

“Oh my God! I can’t deal with JLo,” Larson said as Frazier motioned Lopez to step up to the ET podium.

Frazier tried to calm Larson down, telling her that “we all get this way” and that he had almost cried as well.

“No, I can’t. I’m going to cry,” Larson said as Lopez made her way up the steps and the Captain Marvel star covered her face with her hands, trying to contain her excitement.

Once Lopez made her way up the steps, Larson told her, “You mean so much to me.”

Lopez went in to hug Larson and told her she was a huge fan.

“I saw Selena and it made me want to be an actor and you’ve always meant so much to me,” Larson told the singer, dancer and actress.

“Oh my God don’t make me cry,” Lopez said.

Larson continued, “It’s been a dream of mine. Thank you so much. Your work ethic is so important.”

Lopez thanked Larson for her words as they embraced each other again with visible tears in their eyes.

As Larson left, she said she would have to do a shot of tequila after that moment.

Larson was referring to Lopez’s starring role in 1997’s Selena, the biopic about the late Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla.
