Williams recently celebrated his 51st birthday in true creative fashion. The Virginia native released a surprise album earlier this month, his first full-length project in over a decade. The Grammy Award-winning music producer shared  Black Yacht Rock, Vol. 1: City of Limitless Access through the website BlackYachtRock.com.

Like the aforementioned musical, the album draws inspiration from the “Happy” performer’s background, with songs including “Richard Mille,” “Dandy Lying,” “Caged Bird Free,” “11:11” and “Going Back to VA.”

Outside of music and movies, Williams leads as Louis Vuitton men’s creative director, a role he assumed in February 2023. Earlier this year, the Grammy-winning talent issued the Fall/Winter 2024 menswear presentation with a rodeo theme at the Jardin d’Acclimatation during Paris Fashion Week. The collection is his first since undertaking the new job.

For me, ‘LV’ means ‘LVERS,’ ” detailed Williams to Sharp Magazine. “If you appreciate Louis Vuitton, you’re a lover of the curation. You love the product but, deeper than that, it’s a love for the culture that embodies a like-mindedness of taste.”

He continued, “The humans who buy and wear Louis Vuitton have five modes: dandy, which is tailoring for business and events; comfort, which is what you wear at home and to the gas station; resort, for when you’re on the beach; sport, for activity and working out; and finally, the core staples of the house, which I’m going to iterate on every season. It’s thinking across the board of the demographic. Everything you want to do, we made something for you.”
