Brian Austin Green Breaks His Silence on Finding Out About Megan Fox & Machine Gun Kelly
No matter how cordial the breakup, it always stings when you see that your ex is dating someone new — and often, the shorter the timeline, the sharper the sting. So, when Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green went their separate ways (for good this time), and Fox was spotted with music video co-star Machine Gun Kelly days later, many worried about how the 90210 star would take the news. But Green is now speaking out about how he heard the news, and don’t worry, it wasn’t by seeing his co-parent on TMZ.
Green opened up about his recent split on podcast Hollywood Raw with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn, and it’s clear that the star hasn’t totally adjusted to just how much his split from Fox has been detailed in the news. While Green and Fox’s outward messaging about their desire to keep things cordial and work out a plan that’s best for kids Noah, Bodhi, and Journey has been inspiring for fans, it’s more than fair that the actor’s feeling wary about divulging even more personal info about the breakup.

Speaking to how he learned about Machine Gun Kelly and Fox dating, Green said this: “I found out in my own way. And that’s as much detail as I’ll give you on that one. I didn’t read about it or anything like that.”

Kelly and Fox are currently shooting feature film Midnight in the Switchgrass together, having also previously shot the music video for Kelly’s song “Bloody Valentine.” Green had spoken about Fox and Kelly’s relationship on a previous podcast, suggesting the two were good friends as far as he knew. Since he didn’t find out about their relationship in the press, we’re hoping that means he and Fox had the opportunity to discuss this in private — and the conversation will stay private as long as he wants it to.
Look: breakups suck, and moving on is never easy, for anyone. “I think it’s going as well as it can,” Green commented on their post-split dynamic. “It’s not bad different, it’s just different.”
