NFL legend Brett Favre is a girl dad.

The retired football player has two daughters, Brittany Favre and Breleigh Favre, both of whom he shares with his wife Deanna Favre.

The Super Bowl champion became a father before his NFL career started. Although Brett told ESPN in 2004 that "there was a time when I thought football was the most important," he went on to say that, “Family is obviously the most important. Football will be over at some point, the family goes on.”

During a 2022 episode of Our American Stories, Brett revealed that his late father Irvin Favre “never told us he loved us.” The former quarterback was “determined” if he ever had sons to tell them he loved them as much as possible. “Now I had two girls, and I told them I loved them,” he said.

When Brett was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016, the dad of two gushed, “Believe me, I'm blessed. I'm an extremely blessed man. I look at my family, what a lucky man.” The football star also pointed out in his speech at the ceremony that children “grow up and they're out of [the] house very quickly.”

He added, “And the things that our parents said to us that we said, ‘Yeah, right, Mom. Yeah, right, Dad.’ Well, they come true. And so the same things I tell my daughters and have told them: Love them while you can, they grow up quickly.”

Here is everything to know about Brett Favre’s daughters.

Brett welcomed Brittany around 1989 — according to the Green Bay Press Gazette, she was born three years before her dad went to Green Bay in 1992.

The athlete became a grandfather in April 2010 with the birth of Brittany’s first child, son Parker Brett. The NFL star confirmed the news on his website at the time, per CBS News.

Brittany graduated from Loyola Law in New Orleans in May 2015. The following year, at Brett’s Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the proud dad praised his attorney daughter, calling her “extremely bright and [a] beautiful young lady.”

Speaking to the Bleacher Report in 2015, Brittany revealed that she “went through a painful divorce the winter” before she started law school. About five months after she thought her “life had fallen apart,” she met her now-husband, Alex. Brittany told the outlet that he was the reason she, "didn't quit after my first year."

"I would go through these phases where I just felt lonely and selfish for leaving Parker, and Alex had a way of calming me and helping me remember the purpose of this struggle," she added.

The couple tied the knot in 2013 during her second year of law school and welcomed their first child together, son Alexander James or “AJ,” during her third year. Brittany and Alex also share a second son named Oscar. The mom of three regularly shares photos of her boys on her Instagram page, including a sweet snap of Parker, AJ and Oscar in suits at the end of 2023.

Brittany appeared on the first season of ABC’s Claim to Fame. "My dad and I are really close. I did inherit his competitive nature. At my house, winning is the only option," she said in the second episode.

She continued, "I was born before he became successful, so I got to witness the entire rise from an unknown to known. Don't let my kindness fool you. I used to be an attorney and know how to win. I am so competitive that I hurt feelings."

Brittany was eliminated from Claim to Fame in the fourth episode after wrongly guessing that contestant Kai was related to Andra Day. Following her elimination, Brittany revealed to Distractify that her dad “loves the show."

She said, "He loves all competition television shows, of course. So he's super excited that he actually has, you know, like a stake in one of them. He's super proud of me and proud of how I handled myself."

In March 2024, Brittany shared a sweet video on Instagram showing her and her husband Alex's vacation in Mexico.

"Best honeymoon, only 10+ years behind schedule ❤️🇲🇽," she wrote alongside the clip.

Brett and his wife welcomed their younger daughter, Breleigh, in 1999.

She graduated from high school in 2017 and Brett celebrated his daughter’s major milestone with a photo on Instagram of himself and the grad, which he captioned, “Bittersweet day for Deanna and I 😊Proud of our beautiful and humble daughter, Breleigh!”

Months before her graduation, the Sun Herald reported that Breleigh had committed to play volleyball at her dad’s alma mater, the University of Southern Mississippi.

In August 2017, Brett shared a picture of Southern Miss merch on Instagram along with a snapshot that appeared be from from Breleigh’s dorm, writing, “Letting your daughters go is one tough act😥😥but we are so proud and excited for what's next...🏐SMTTT!!”

It was announced in 2022 that Breleigh had signed with the LSU Beach Volleyball program “as an experienced graduate transfer from Southern Mississippi.”

At his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Brett called Breleigh an “exceptional volleyball player,” and noted that “she's extremely bright and beautiful” like her older sister Brittany. He also jokingly said, “I'm glad she takes after her mother.”

Breleigh has participated in races with her athletic dad, including a half marathon in Mississippi in 2018, which prompted Brett to say he "couldn't be more proud" of his daughter in a caption on Instagram alongside two photos of the father-daughter duo.

After a run in 2019, Brett posted a snapshot of himself, Deanna and their younger daughter on Instagram. Alongside the picture, he wrote, in part, “Well that was fun🤥🤥 And Bre we are so proud of you😊 not many college students would willingly run 13.1 miles.”
