A 24-year-old man was arrested for firing a shotgun into his vehicles at his home on Polaris Way early Thursday morning, the Redding Police Department said.

Ray Morrow was taken into custody after police responded to reports of shots fired around 3:30 a.m., investigators said.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

Officers searched Morrow’s home in the 3600 block of Polaris Way and saw additional guns.

A search warrant was obtained, and police found two shotguns, two rifles and several rounds of ammunition, according to police.

Police blocked a portion of the street in the area for hours after the shooting as they investigated. The neighborhood is between Venus Way and Saturn Skyway.

It was determined, too, that Morrow is a convicted felon, which police say prohibits him from possessing firearms and ammunition.

Investigators don’t know why Morrow was shooting at his vehicles.

Neighbors in the area said they heard shots fired overnight.
