‘Breaking Bad’ creator Vince Gilligan returns to Albuquerque to film new series

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The creator of “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” is returning to New Mexico for a new series. Vince Gilligan will be filming an untitled project in and around Albuquerque, according to an announcement made by New Mexico Film Office Director Amber Dodson on Monday.
‘Pulse’ series filming in Albuquerque
“I’m thrilled to be working in New Mexico again,” Gilligan told the film office. “Story-wise, this new show could have been set anywhere in the United States. However, I keep returning to the Land of Enchantment for the beautifully cinematic landscape and to continue working with the best crew ever. They’ve been making me look good for seventeen years now, and I figure, ‘why fix it if it ain’t broke?’”
“Better Call Saul” star Rhea Seehorn is also coming back to New Mexico to be featured in Gilligan’s project. The production will employ more than 1,400 New Mexicans, including 500-plus crew members, 100-plus principal actors, and 800-plus background talent.

“Mr. Gilligan has not only showcased many regions of New Mexico in his multiple series made here, but his acclaimed productions have been an incredible boost for our local industry, workforce, and economy,” Dodson stated in a news release. “We are thrilled to collaborate once again on a new project with the visionary Mr. Gilligan.”
